Dedications:
To my REAL friends….Thanks for keepin’ it real, I appreciate each and every one of you guys. You know who you are. Love you guys. To my family- love the ones who love you! Angie Bunch- Summer of 98 I took my first Hip-Hop class at Mesa. I was 16 yrs. Old. Thinking to myself “who is this white lady?” Then you turned on the music and began to teach. Hot Damn, my Bad. WOW is all I could say. From then on I joined Future Shock and 2 years later, Culture Shock. It wouldn’t be possible, if it wasn’t for you, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for letting me be apart of your family and doing what I love most, Dance…P.S. you give the dopest hugs, I swear. Anna-Sherman: Thank you…I respect you guys for doing what you do. I know it ain’t easy. You guys are the dopest. Thank you for having patience with me.
CSSD- New and old peeps: Story time: Stacy-Thanks for taking me to Future Shock tryouts. It’s all you white girl. Being on Future Shock my first year I want to thank Belle and Prince. For the reference Belle gave me my nick name “Math” cuz she was lazy (or was it about some bear…I dunno). Prince again for my second yr. with Future Shock. Being on Future Shock I remembered looking at Culture Shock and thinking “Oh my goodness, they’re so dope” so then I graduated both high school and Future Shock. Attending UC Mesa Fall of Two Thousand one, I took both academic classes and dance. There I joined Mesa Shock. OOOh Weeee CSSD tryouts are around the corner. So I tried out and made it. As a newbie, I was so scared and intimidated, I mean, these people were so freakin’ good. I’d go home so sore and frustrated. Whining to my friends (and the Newbies.) My pickup was so slow, no facials, it seemed like I always did something wrong. I was miserable, but with time I improved, but I didn’t do it by myself. Thanks guys. All those who helped me. I’m a dork, and thanks for having patience with me, I’m young and I still have a lot to learn, can’t compare to Anna, she’s like 36. For Real. Hey, who knows, maybe one day, just one day I’ll be front and center…hahaha! And I’ll put Sherman right behind me. Can’t wait….
Future Shock- you guys are dope!! FORMALity- Keep up the good work. To Nick Keomahavong- Thanks for typing my life story and some. Free Starbucks on me for life.
